Our tours include entry to all stops and attractions on the itinerary, hotel pick-up and drop-off within Launceston CBD, an experienced guide and free wi-fi on the bus.
Be sure to bring a fully charged camera, spare batteries and plenty of storage space (you’ll be kicking yourself if you don’t) as well as a bottle of water. Also be sure to bring any medication (including travel sickness tablets, Ventolin etc.) or snacks you need to get you through the day. We go to some very remote locations so be prepared.
Unfortunately, you can’t drink alcohol on this bus (it’s the law), so please leave the booze behind.
You can definitely make purchases, just be aware that there may be limited space on the bus, so if you can’t carry it on your person, you’ll have to arrange delivery with the retailer.
These are a set of outdoor ethics that help to ensure the conservation of our natural spaces. We run all tours according to these principles, and as part of that, we ask you to respect the natural spaces we visit by ensuring you keep any rubbish with you to dispose of responsibly when we get back to civilisation. Similarly, don’t take any plants, flowers, animals, shells or rocks away from their natural habitat. (But do take plenty of photos!)
Yes, we only run tours with minimum numbers, so you’re best off booking in plenty of time. We can sometimes accommodate last-minute additions, though, so if you decide unexpectedly that you want to join us, it’s always worth calling to ask.
Be sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing (the weather changes fast around here, especially up in the hills, and you can go from sunny to snowy aat any time of the year) and sensible footwear (we know you look amazing in them, but high heels are generally not considered ‘sensible’).
We love babies, but unfortunately, they don’t always love us. Child seat laws in Australia are very strict, and we only have limited availability of appropriate seats. Still, if you want to bring a baby small child along on one of our tours, just give us a call and we’ll see how we can help.
You can pay for your tour, charter or transfer through the website on Visa or Mastercard, or you can pay us by direct bank transfer.
We understand that for many varied reasons, plans sometimes have to be changed and altered. However, from the time that you make your booking with us, we commit your places and hold them for you. This means that should someone else want to go on the tour you are booked on, we may not be able to take that person/s on the tour. Therefore we ask you to please understand that, should you cancel your tour, you may be charged a cancellation fee. This is one reason why we recommend purchasing travel insurance as a part of your trip planning.
If a customer makes a request to cancel the booking, the following guidelines will take place. Customer retains the right to cancel any booking without penalty more than 10 days before departure. If a cancellation is requested between 10 and 3 days prior to tour date, the customer will incur a cancellation fee equal to 25% of total booking. If cancellation is requested less than 3 days before tour date, the customer will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of total booking. Any cancellation requests made within 24 hours of tour departure, including failure to meet at requested departure point and time – no right to refund.
Our children’s fares apply to all travellers under 16 years of age. All persons travelling on our tours must have a separate seat booked for their use. Those travelling with infants must contact us via phone or email to gain consent to travel at least 48 hours prior to travel. Minors under the age of 18 years are not allowed to travel without being directly accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Valid identification may be requested and if not produced a portion of the booking will be cancelled with no right to refund.
Wineglass & Cradle Tours reserves the right to amend prices and change itineraries in unforeseen circumstances. We strive to ensure your safety and comfort while on tour with us. At times bad weather, private or public events, or road closures, may mean that changes need to be made without prior notice. Under such circumstances we will put in place alternative tour itineraries, at the discretion of tour operator. In extreme weather events and in the case of fire risk, tours may have to be cancelled or rescheduled. Cancelled tours will be met with full refunds. We reserve the right to cancel any tour. Customer’s right to refund will be in line with our cancellation policy.
It is prohibited to consume alcohol whilst on board our vehicles. A cleaning fee is charged if the vehicle requires any cleaning beyond that which is deemed normal.
At times our vehicles will need to go in for repairs or maintenance. During these periods, we will not have our regular tour vehicle available for customers. A suitable replacement hire vehicle will be used for the necessary period.
Travel insurance is not included or provided for customers in any of our services. Customers travel entirely at their own risk. We take no responsibility for the security of personal belongings. The customer accepts all risks and responsibility for loss, damages and costs to personal property while on tour. We suggest taking out private travel insurance prior to any travel.
As a part of the booking process we need to collect some personal information from you, including your name, address, email, and telephone number in order to conduct business with you. Requests for credit card details during a booking will be handled by our booking system and not stored by us in any way. None of your personal details will be disclosed to any other parties without your prior consent, except for those needed to conduct the general business of the tour. At times we may photograph aspects of our tours for promotional use and marketing. If you would rather not appear in any of our promotional footage, please let our friendly guides know.
